From his latest album 'The House Of Bones', MaJiKer releases the track 'When Fire Becomes My Name' which has been described by MusicOMH as 'like When Doves Cry covered by Tim Burton'.

This eclectic and surprising remix package includes captivating, atmospheric reworkings from French remixers Dyylan & Reykjavik-based Jean-Christophe Salaün (AKA nasüla). In contrast, the song's melody was entirely re-composed for an astonishing version by John Callaghan, the notoriously eccetric cult figure of electro-pop (Warp Records). The EP concludes with a brand new recording of album track 'Ocean', a favourite for many listeners, which here is stripped down to just a few acoustic instruments, most prominently the marimba.

Since its release on Halloween 2011, 'The House of Bones' has been acclaimed for its original take on haunted house stories and Norse mythology. MusicOMH celebrated MaJiKer's 'truly unique sound and approach' where 'each hearing reveals something new in the lyrics, the instrumentation, or both'. The Digital Fix recommended the album as an 'engaging... faux film-noir soundtrack'.

MaJiKer has been based in Paris since 2005, and is already familiar to fans of Camille whose albums 'Le Fil' and 'Music Hole' he produced with her. He also acted as Musical Director of Camille's touring band and has remixed work by artists as diverse as Fever Ray, Ane Brun, Nico Muhly and Jenny Wilson.
